Working group “School without racism – school with courage” at Gleichense grammar school
The “School without Racism – School with Courage” working group , led by art teacher Saskia Benger-Neumann, is a committed association of pupils who actively campaign for a culture of remembrance and against all forms of discrimination. In the 2024/25 school year, Amy Ortlepp, Paula Meister, Joe Räpple, Nils Stein, Johanna Oßwald and Inga Merten in particular worked on the further development of the “Path of Remembrance” project.
Together, they not only design the artistic elements, but also take responsibility for the organization: they maintain contact with supporters, present the project to the public and develop the content of the project website. The working group stands for civil courage in action and shows how young people are actively shaping the culture of remembrance.
